The follow up to Mad Love, Mad Love 2, left me wanting. I did like Sophie's character more in this book and it felt like she matured some between book 1 and book 2. I also enjoyed dramas on the side with Eric and Orie's characters - I love them as friends and wish I had them in my life!I liked Clayton's character less in this book. He is frequently unhappy with Sophie for doing things he disagrees with. Of course the ex-girlfriend shows up again, and I feel like he did very little to make Sophie feel more secure. I wish he would make more of an effort to make her realize how he feels about her besides just saying "You're mine". I seriously disliked that after the tragedy in his family, Sophie wasn't safe with with him? What the heck??? I guess when I read a romance novel I think of long term love and all couples face tragedies together so how is it going to work if he turns into a jerk and takes out all his anger on her? I really disliked this part.
I am not sure if this is the end of the Mad Love series, and quite frankly, I am not sure if the author knows either because this book didn't feel like it wrapped up much. The ex-girlfriend is still looming, we have no idea about the parents situation (speaking of parents, super annoying that her parents call and demand she sleep in a different room from Clayton and she goes along with it, she is 23 for goodness' sakes). Technically, it ended with an HEA or HFN (happy for now) but it was the worst conclusion to a HFN book I have ever read; I'm tempted to rate 2 stars instead of 3 due to that ending alone. You seriously have no insight into where the relationship is going after this book, so I can only assume the author is planning a book 3 or novella for after this book, or at least wanted to leave the option open.

Mad Love 2 edition by Colet Abedi Contemporary Romance eBooks Reviews
At first I got the first book because it was free, but then I read the the excerpt and found myself interested. I was hooked after the first few chapters. The first ended and then I had to get the 2nd book. Both books were funny and sad, thoughtful and full of hope. I would so recommend this book to anyone who wants a great read to loose themselves in.
Hot hot hot......I really loved this book and I did not want it to end. I love that Clayton finally let Sophie in. I love that finally Sophie found her voice and I love that they had such a world win romance. This book was funny and serious and everything in between and it made me want to fly around the world and find my own Clayton. I found it very easy to get sucked into this story and it's a must read!!!!!
Clayton and Sophie have a connection that just can’t be broken. They have a soulmate pull to each other. This book was romantic, funny, and very emotional. Colet does such an amazing job of writing that I could feel every emotion the characters were experiencing. All the characters in this book were well developed and only added to this story. I was sad to see this series end – I simply adored this love story!!
After you left us with a cliffhanger in mad love you took us on a wild ride through England and France it was definitely worth the wait. We watch Sophie grow as a woman in herself, and them grow as a couple. In a short time run the gamut of emotions, laughter...newly developing love...the heartbreak of death and the fallout that comes with that...til the book's conclusion. I laughed, I cried, I giggled, I smiled, the book made me feel a wide range of emotions. I can only hope Colet comes out with a Mad Love 3 so we can have more time with all the characters.
I really loved book 1 so I couldn't wait to read book 2. It was great to see Sophie mature some and become a bit more confident. It was also good to learn more about Clayton and see him in another setting other than on vacation. Off course the dynamic duo of Erik & Orie are also in this book and I love those 2, wish I had friends like them.
I was disappointed in the ending, it could of been more detailed or at least there could of been an epilogue. Also the book contained a lot of typos and grammatical errors, which for me is a pet peeve.
Better than mad love, but I wouldn't advise anyone to waste their money on two books for the ending when you can get a real author with a story for less. The main character is supposed to be strong, but in most of the book she acts like a teenager. The main man has light blue eyes a certain color, but the authors forgets and calls them sapphire blue a few times. Too much drama for me.
While I was totally enamored with both the digital and audio version of this book, I am totally not the "warrior" that Sophie's father believes her to be. I know, believe in, and champion love, but even after 46 years of happy marriage, I still don't comprehend love. At least the selfless kind. I do get the concept that some folk simply are not wired to speak words of love and devotion, but their feelings are manifested by their actions, reactions, and choices. But when you have publicly committed yourself to another, yet you cannot draw strength, concern, or caring from that person I time of great duress, that to me is selfish and unlike true love. But when Clayton seemingly tosses Sophie aside under duress and sorrow, Sophie rises above my narrow-mindedness and gives him the solitude he appears to want. Even though he shares so much of his wealth and connection with her, he can't seem to share 100,% of himself with her. I love love Erik and Orie and the great characterization of this series. Loved the HE A, but my greed left me wanting more. I will be looking for more books by this author.
